Technical Expert

Technical Support in Budget Preparation: Provide technical insights and assist in preparing budgets and annual procurement plans, consolidating data from field offices, and ensuring alignment with operational requirements.

Vendor Evaluation and Management: Conduct technical evaluations of vendor applications, inspect factories, verify documentation, and assess vendor performance for registration and empanelment.

Cost Data and Technical Specifications: Update the cost data book and technical specifications of materials annually, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Rate Contract & Reverse Auction Execution: Provide technical expertise in rate contract execution and reverse auction processes, including framework design and report preparation.

Scrap Disposal Assistance: Offer technical guidance in calculating the reserve price for scrap materials and coordinating disposal activities with relevant committees.

Procurement Manual Updates: Assist in resolving technical issues related to the procurement manual and provide updates to ensure it reflects current operational needs.

Project Supervision and Monitoring: Provide technical oversight in the preparation of DPRs, monitor departmental works, and identify risks, delays, or cost overruns in projects under ADP and O&M budgets.

Store and Inventory Management: Ensure technical accuracy in inventory updates, maintain records of purchase orders, and support effective store management practices.

MRT and Transformer Management: Oversee technical activities related to Metering, Relaying, and Testing (MRT), as well as the repair and inventory of distribution transformers.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, consolidate MIS data, and document all activities to ensure timely submission to JBVNL for review.
