About the Role :

Carbon Black Endpoint Detection & Response Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Carbon Black Endpoint Detection & Response Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing expert-level support and guidance related to endpoint security solutions, with a strong focus on Symantec and Carbon Black technologies.

You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of our endpoint security infrastructure and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities :

- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Symantec and Carbon Black EDR solutions, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and incident response.

- Expertise in endpoint security concepts, including threat detection, prevention, and response techniques.

- Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards (i.e., NIST, CIS Controls).

- Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients on issues related to endpoint security.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Symantec and Carbon Black deployments, including performance issues, integration problems, and security alerts.

- Conduct in-depth security investigations and incident response activities, including threat hunting and containment.

- Monitor security alerts and incidents, analyze threat intelligence, and respond to security events in a timely and effective manner.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Assist in the improvement of security operations processes and workflows to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.

- Document technical procedures, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.

- Share knowledge and expertise with other team members through training sessions, documentation, and knowledge base articles.

Qualifications :

Experience : 8+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on endpoint security.

Technical Expertise :

- In-depth knowledge of Symantec and Carbon Black EDR solutions, including App Control, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Endpoint Protection (SEP).

- Experience with cloud-based security solutions is a plus.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and security protocols.
