Job Description : Technical Fellow - Base Software and Architecture

As a Technical Fellow specializing in Base Software and Architecture, you will serve as a visionary leader and subject matter expert responsible for defining, supporting implementing, and advancing state-of-the-art base software solutions and architectures for cutting-edge embedded technologies.

In this role you will be collaborating with cross-functional software teams, you will interduce new innovations, Software scalability, and performance to align with the organization's strategic objectives while fostering technical excellence across the board.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop a comprehensive vision, roadmap, and strategy for base software and software architecture.

- Align product development goals with scalable, sustainable, and modular architecture designs.

- Lead the design and development of core software components, including operating system interfaces, middleware, and hardware abstraction layers.

- Ensure software solutions meet critical requirements for performance, safety, reliability, and real-time operations.

- Architect and implement frameworks tailored to evolving product needs, ensuring robust, modular, and scalable designs.

- Collaborate closely with hardware and systems engineering teams to enable seamless integration across multiple platforms.

- Establish architectural standards to optimize performance, maintainability, and scalability.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in software engineering and incorporate them into innovative solutions.

- Drive proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate and adopt new technologies for competitive advantage.

- Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration.

- Advocate for and implement best practices in software design and architecture organization-wide.

- Act as a trusted advisor to engineering, product management, and leadership teams on critical projects and architectural decisions.

- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners to align technology strategies.

- Lead root cause analysis for complex software issues, driving swift and effective resolutions.

- Develop and oversee processes to optimize base software performance, testing, validation, and deployment.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 15+ years of software development experience, including at least 10 years in hands on embedded software development and architect roles.

- Proven expertise in designing and deploying large-scale, complex software systems.

- Deep knowledge of base software development, including operating systems, middleware, and hardware-software integration.

- Strong understanding of modular design principles, enabling reusability, maintainability, and scalability of software components.

- In-depth understanding in AUTOSAR Classic and AUTOSAR Adaptive, including configuration, integration, and deployment.

- Strong expertise in Cybersecurity principles and frameworks, including secure development practices, threat modeling, and compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 or NIST CSF standards.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa) standards (e., ISO 26262) and their software application.

- In-depth knowledge of Board Support Package (BSP) development and optimization.

- Proficiency in platforms such as Android, Linux, and QNX, with a focus on embedded and real-time systems.

- Hands-on experience with Microcontroller Units (MCU), Microprocessor Units (MPU), and System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures.

- Proficiency in network protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and SOME/IP, with experience in networking stack integration.

- Familiarity with diagnostic protocols like UDS (ISO 14229) and their integration into diagnostic tools.

- Proven experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and frameworks.

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.

- Expertise in layered architecture design, including clear separation of concerns across system layers.

- Proficiency in system decomposition techniques, enabling effective management of complex systems.

- Understanding of multi-core processor optimization techniques, including load balancing and resource management.

- Experience with DevOps practices for embedded software, including CI/CD pipelines tailored for automotive or industrial applications

- Proficiency with hypervisors and virtualization technologies for embedded systems (e., Xen, KVM, QNX Hypervisor).

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with real-time systems, safety-critical standards, and embedded systems.

- Extensive knowledge of Infotainment systems, including navigation, media playback, voice recognition, and HMI frameworks.

- Experience with automotive infotainment platforms, such as Android Automotive OS, GENIVI, or Linux-based systems.

- Familiarity with automotive connectivity technologies, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, CarPlay, and Android Auto.

- Knowledge of over-the-air (OTA) update mechanisms and secure boot processes.

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of mentoring technical teams
