Senior Accountant

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take end-to-end ownership of client accounts assigned to you. This includes daily accounting, managing client communications, reconciling accounts, and ensuring a structured month-end close process. While you'll receive initial training and on-going managerial support, you'll be expected to handle responsibilities independently and systematically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fully manage assigned client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.
• Review, clean, and correct financial records in Xero and QuickBooks, addressing discrepancies and bookkeeping errors.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records to maintain accuracy.
• Identify and resolve issues related to accounts.
• Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and assist in audit preparations if required.
• Ensure timely and accurate closure of monthly reporting for assigned clients
• Proactively communicate with clients, understanding their accounting needs and resolving queries professionally.
• Work independently to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain reporting accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with hands-on expertise in Xero and QuickBooks.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts independently.
• Professionalism in direct client interactions.

Other Requirements:

• Onsite role in Mumbai, Andheri no hybrid or remote options.
• Work 5 days a week in the office.
• Mandatory late sittings and working on Saturdays during month-end periods to meet reporting deadlines. This is non-negotiable and please apply only if you're comfortable with this commitment.
• Mandatory to have prior experience of working in XERO.
