About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to spearhead the development and execution of our brand licensing and franchise strategy. This is a unique opportunity to build a new business unit from the ground up, with the support of a dedicated consulting partner. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in brand licensing, franchise sales, or related business development, ideally within the luxury goods sector. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the MD, offering significant growth potential and the opportunity to shape the future of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive brand licensing and franchise strategy aligned with the companys overall business objectives.
- Business Development: Identify and secure new brand licensing and franchise partnerships, conducting market research, evaluating potential partners, and negotiating agreements.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for the brand licensing and franchise business unit.
- Operational Execution: Oversee all aspects of the brand licensing and franchise business, including marketing, sales, operations, and legal.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including licensors, franchisees, retailers, and industry partners.
- Team Building (Future): As the business grows, build and manage a high-performing team to support the brand licensing and franchise initiatives.
- Consultant Collaboration: Work closely with the appointed consultant to leverage their expertise and ensure the successful implementation of the agreed-upon strategy.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitive activity, and consumer preferences to identify new opportunities and adapt the strategy as needed.
- Legal & Contractual Compliance: Ensure all brand licensing and franchise agreements are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in brand licensing, franchise sales, business development, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of the brand licensing and franchise business model, including legal, financial, and operational aspects.
- Experience in the luxury goods sector is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building new businesses.
