Project Executive

As a project executive in a heavy crane manufacturing industry

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Initiation:-

• Start working on the project from the day project gets transferred from marketing to the Projects department.
• Review the project requirements and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.

Liaise with the sales team to get a clear understanding of the customer's expectations

2. Project Planning:-

Create a comprehensive project plan within a week's time. This plan should include timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

As a project executive, it is essential to do a proper project planning, taking into consideration the current workload in the company's various locations, factories, and their production capacity.

3. Project Execution:-

Closely follow the project from Design, procurement, production, assembly, dispatch, and erection at the site. Ensure that each department is meeting their targets and that all work is completed according to the project plan

4. Customer Relation

5. Risk Management:-

Raise a red flag time to time if any department is missing their target dates through email. Keep a close eye on the project's progress and take corrective action when necessary.

6. Team Management:-

• Chase with the Mechanical Design, Electrical Design, Production, Purchase, Assembly, Dispatch, Quality, and site Erection teams for the successful completion of the project within the timeline.
• Provide regular updates to the senior management team on project progress, challenges, and opportunities.

7. Reporting:-

Reporting is an essential part of project management, as it helps to ensure that stakeholders are kept informed about the project's progress and performance. Here are some key points that a project manager should consider when reporting on a project

8. Budgeting:-

Project budgeting and monitoring are critical aspects of project management. Here are some additional points to include in relation to project budgeting
