DEPARTMENT BRIEF :

The Institutional Buy Side SBU is responsible for the strategy, execution and development of products that establish FactSet as the premier technology partner for the Analytics investment community. The Buy Side Middle Office group provides a fully connected ecosystem, increases operational efficiency, and reduces total cost of ownership for our clients. The Middle Office group is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join a team of software engineers building, maintaining, and driving the effort to provide Portfolio Commentary in interactive and batched fashion across all client Portfolios.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

As a Portfolio Commentary Engineering team member, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying web services built using Golang and front-end UI frameworks like VueJS/Angular/Fusion.

The role requires technical competency and experience in building scalable and performant applications for both the frontend and backend.

Experience in using LLMs, prompt engineering, Vector databases and RAG will certainly be an added advantage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

- A fast learner and a great team player willing to collaborate with stakeholders

- Be self-driven and proactive in getting things done

- 6-9 years of experience in designing and implementing web services with Go and Protobuf.

- Experience/Knowledge in designing and implementing concurrent programming in Go

- Experience in Front End technologies like VueJS and AngularJS

- Experience in building LLM and RAG based application that requires working knowledge of Prompt engineering.

- Having knowledge of ML evaluation pipelines and Databricks is a nice to have.

- Knowledge of Databricks, and evaluation pipelines like MLFlow and vector databases like Weaviate.

- Experience in developing and deploying applications on Heroku.

- Experience with CI/CD concepts like GitHub Actions, Docker, etc.
