Associate - Category Buying Ecommerce

Looking to hire an experienced Associate or Sr. Associate for Category Buying. Someone with proven experience in region of UK, China or European Countries specifically from E-commerce Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales, margin, and market share growth.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to shape category performance
• Product Sourcing and Pricing: collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms.
• Define competitive pricing strategies while ensuring profitability. Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability to meet customer demand. Work closely with the supply chain team to streamline category operations.
• Category Performance Analysis: Track category performance metrics, such as sales, profit margins, and customer feedback. Provide actionable insights and recommend optimization strategies.
• Marketing and Promotions: Partner with marketing teams to create category-specific campaigns and promotions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, pricing, supplier data, and category-specific insights for reporting and analysis.
• Analyse vendor offerings, negotiate optimal pricing and contracts, and identify supply chain efficiencies specific to the category.
• Develop and execute buying plans for products, equipment, and services. Ensure optimal inventory levels to balance availability with carrying cost, specifically for the B2C business the UK.
• Team Collaboration: Work with marketing, designers and operations teams to align category goals with overall company objectives.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years in category management, product management, or a similar role in an e-commerce environment.
• Proven buying experience from UK, China or European Countries.
• Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Strong understanding of e-commerce operations, supply chain, and digital marketing strategies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics, Tableau).
• Proficiency in using WMS software.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
