As the Tech Writer for Healthcare Products, you are responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly product documentation. The ideal candidate works closely with cross-functional teams and ensures that technical information is accessible and easy to understand for various user groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, help articles, release notes, and technical manuals.
Work closely with product, engineering, and UX teams to understand complex features and translate them into user-friendly content.
Develop and maintain content for in-app guidance and how-to tutorials.
Collaborate on content strategies for training and documentation to ensure consistency and accessibility.
Continuously update documentation to align with new product releases and updates.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, especially for healthcare- related content.
Implement and maintain a content management system for efficient documentation storage and retrieval.
Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve documentation quality and usability.
ualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Technical Writing, Communication, or Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in healthcare or technology products.
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in documentation tools like MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, or Confluence.
Ability to interview subject matter experts (SMEs) and translate complex technical concepts into simple language.
Familiarity with healthcare standards and terminology (e.g., ICD, CPT, or HL7) is a strong plus.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong understanding of healthcare terminology and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Experience with API documentation and software development processes.
Preferred ualifications:
Experience with healthcare software, SaaS products or a basic understanding of healthcare industry terminology is highly desirable.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of UX writing principles.
Experience with markup languages (e.g., HTML, Markdown) and technical illustration tools.
