Job Description
- Possess a college degree in a related field such as English, Technical Communications, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 4-9 years of technical writing experience.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent command of U.S. English (understanding, speaking, and writing).
- Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven ability to write conceptual, task-oriented, and reference documentation with equal facility.
- Experience interpreting technical specifications, user stories, configuration files, code, and other technical documents as source material. Technical and tools knowledge.
- Proven ability to learn new products and technologies and to grasp technical material.
- Experience with standard office and documentation tools, including Microsoft Office 2010 or later (Required); Madcap Flare, Oxygen XML Author, or a similar XML editor (Preferred); and SDL Content Management System (Preferred); as well as documentation preparation delivery mechanisms (e.g., online Help, Web help, PDFs, HTML, etc.).
- Working knowledge on XML, HTML, Wikis (Confluence), and JIRA.
- Exposure to software development tools, including source control tools, and processes, including design, and development.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Possess good planning, estimation, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and possess good judgment, positive attitude, and an innovative spirit.
- Ability to work on multiple deliverables for multiple products simultaneously and under time constraints.
- Ability to work in a collaborative group setting
