Technical Lead - Testing

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Test Lead to join our dynamic team. The Test Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating testing activities, ensuring the highest quality of software products. This individual will lead a team of testers, collaborate with development and product teams, and implement best practices to ensure comprehensive test coverage and flawless delivery of software.

• Test Planning and Strategy:
  Develop and implement detailed test plans, test strategies, and test case execution for assigned projects. Define test objectives, scope, resources, and deliverables.

• Team Leadership:
  Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers and testers. Provide guidance on test processes, methodologies, and troubleshooting. Ensure team members are meeting deadlines and quality standards.

• Test Execution:
  Coordinate and monitor test execution activities, ensuring proper test coverage. Identify, record, and track defects using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center).

• Automation Framework:
  Oversee the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks. Work with the team to create reusable test scripts and optimize automation processes.

• Defect Management:
  Work closely with developers to prioritize and resolve defects, track defect life cycles, and report on defect trends. Ensure timely communication of critical issues.

• Collaboration and Communication:
  Coordinate with project managers, product managers, and developers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with project goals. Regularly report on testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

• Test Documentation:
  Prepare and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test cases, test results, defect reports, and test summaries. Ensure that documentation adheres to project and industry standards.

• Continuous Improvement:
  Evaluate and improve testing methodologies, processes, and tools. Drive the implementation of best practices and continuous integration for testing across the team.

• Risk Assessment:
  Identify potential risks and work to mitigate them through early detection and reporting. Ensure any issues impacting product delivery are communicated and addressed promptly.

• Education:
  Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.

• Experience:
  Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Experience working in Agile development environments is preferred.

• Skills & Knowledge:

  • Expertise in test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), particularly Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
