Senior Designer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Leadership & Concept Development
   
• Lead and manage the design process for large-scale and complex interior design projects.
• Develop innovative and creative design concepts that align with client requirements, project scope, and budget.
• Create detailed mood boards, sketches, renderings, and presentations for client proposals and project approvals.
• Stay updated with design trends, materials, technologies, and sustainability practices to integrate into projects.
• Ensure design solutions are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the companys standards.
2. Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
   
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs.
• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and presentations to discuss design ideas, provide updates, and gather feedback.
• Translate client vision and requirements into design solutions, presenting concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure designs are executed as per specifications.
3. Project Management & Coordination
   
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and design integrity are maintained.
• Collaborate with the project management team to coordinate timelines, procurement of materials, and site execution.
• Prepare detailed design specifications, drawing packages, and documentation for contractors and vendors.
• Supervise junior designers and support staff, offering guidance and mentorship to develop their skills.
4. Design Implementation & Quality Control
   
• Ensure designs are properly executed during construction and installation stages.
• Monitor the progress of on-site activities, addressing issues as they arise and making adjustments to the design when necessary.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that quality standards are met and designs are accurately implemented.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations in all design aspects.
5. Team Collaboration & Mentorship
   
• Lead and mentor junior designers, interns, and design assistants, providing direction and feedback on their work.
• Foster a creative and collaborative environment within the design team, encouraging the exchange of ideas.
• Participate in internal design reviews, offering constructive feedback and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Vendor & Supplier Coordination
   
• Source and recommend suppliers, materials, and furnishings for projects based on design requirements and budget.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Review and approve vendor quotations, ensuring they align with project goals and budget.
7. Financial & Budget Management
   
• Prepare and manage design budgets for projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for and kept within the client's budget.
• Monitor expenses and adjust design solutions as needed to stay within financial constraints.
• Collaborate with the finance team to track project expenses, ensuring proper billing and cost documentation.
8. Business Development
   
• Assist in business development efforts by contributing to proposals and presenting design concepts to potential clients.
• Attend client meetings and networking events to build and maintain client relationships.
• Support the company's marketing initiatives by contributing to portfolios, project case studies, and social media content.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience:
  
• At least 5-7 years of experience in interior design, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a senior or lead designer role.
• Proven track record of designing and managing large-scale, high-end interior design projects.
• Experience in both residential and commercial projects (optional based on the firm's focus).
• Technical Skills:
  
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape).
• Strong knowledge of design documentation and construction drawings.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and budgeting software.

• Ability to conceptualize and present design ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
