Manager - Accounts

Role & responsibilities

• Financial Management: Manage the day-to-day financial activities for real estate transactions, including invoicing, billing, and payments.
• Accounting Records: Maintain accurate financial records for the companys real estate portfolio, including income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets for ongoing projects and real estate developments. Provide regular financial forecasting and variance analysis.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, including preparing and submitting relevant tax documents and reports.
• Reporting: Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management, stakeholders, and clients, providing insights into real estate transactions, investments, and profitability.
• Property Management: Assist with managing accounts related to property rental and leasing, including tracking rent payments, managing lease agreements, and resolving discrepancies.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and capital investments in properties.
• Audit and Reconciliation: Lead the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring that financial records are properly reconciled and all transactions are accurately documented.
• Vendor and Contractor Payments: Ensure timely and accurate payments to contractors, vendors, and other service providers related to property management and development.
• Client and Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with clients, real estate brokers, and stakeholders to provide financial updates and assist with queries related to the accounts.
• Financial Systems: Ensure that financial software and systems are up to date and utilized effectively for accurate financial reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as an Accounts Manager or similar role, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial management practices.
• Familiarity with real estate accounting software and tools (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA or CMA) is a plus.
• Knowledge of real estate investment analysis and financial modeling.
