The Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Platform Developer to join our team in Bangalore and play a vital role in developing and maintaining our Android-based products.

You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from designing and implementing features to testing and debugging complex functionalities.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement innovative features for Android applications.

- Work on the Android platform development stack, including the build system and Android architecture.

- Possess in-depth knowledge of Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), drivers, and the kernel.

- Demonstrate expertise in Android boot processes involving peripherals like I2C, SPI, and USB.

- Have a strong understanding of the Android kernel, filesystem, and Linux kernel porting.

- Implement and manage Android kernel bring-up along with distribution bring-up.

- Utilize technologies like Binder, HIDL, Services (Native and/or Java), Framework APIs, NDK, and JNI effectively.

- Integrate and work with commonly used subsystems like Wifi, Bluetooth, USB, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and HDMI.

- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, and product development cycles.

- Possess excellent analytical and debugging skills using ADB (Android Debug Bridge).

- Maintain a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and clear communication skills (written and verbal) for effective collaboration.

Qualifications :

- 4-12 years of experience in Android Platform Development.

- Proven experience with Android architecture, build systems, and development tools.

- In-depth knowledge of Android HAL, drivers, kernel, and boot processes.

- Strong understanding of the Android kernel, filesystem, and Linux kernel porting.

- Proficiency in technologies like Binder, HIDL, Services, Framework APIs, NDK, and JNI.

- Familiarity with commonly used Android subsystems (Wifi, Bluetooth, USB, etc.)

- Experience with software development methodologies, testing environments, and product development lifecycles.

- Excellent analytical and debugging skills using ADB.

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and clear communication skills
