Head of Analytics & Data

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Analytics & Data to spearhead data-driven initiatives across all business areas of our EV Battery Manufacturing Operations. This role will be instrumental in shaping our analytics strategy, leading the deployment of machine learning solutions, and leveraging technologies such as Digital Twin, Generative AI, and Data Lakes. The ideal candidate will drive analytics capabilities that enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality assurance, supply chain management, maintenance operations, financial planning, HR processes, sales performance, and R&D innovation. Your role will be instrumental in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and enhancing decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI and ML projects across all business functions (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance, HR, Sales, Service, R&D).
• Foster a data-driven culture and promote data literacy across the organization.
• Team Leadership:
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing lean team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to enhance analytics capabilities across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of data initiatives.
• Attract and retain top talent in the field of data science and AI.
• Advanced Analytics and AI:
• Oversee the end-to-end development of machine learning models and solutions tailored to manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain optimization, and other business functions.
• Develop and deploy advanced analytics solutions, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI algorithms.
• Utilize data mining techniques to uncover valuable insights from large datasets.
• Implement digital twin technology to simulate and optimize real-world processes.
• Explore and leverage generative AI to drive innovation
• Data Engineering and Infrastructure:
• Design and implement robust data pipelines and Drive the creation and maintenance of Data Lakes to centralize data accessibility and support advanced data analytics
• Ensure data quality, security, and privacy.
• Collaborate with other IT teams such as Infra, SAP, Digital & Cybersecurity to deploy scalable & secure data solutions in production.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
• Collaborate with executive management and stakeholders to identify analytics opportunities and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations derived from data analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of analytics initiatives and report on progress to stakeholders.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics and machine learning to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree/Master Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful results.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
• Demonstrated success in implementing machine learning, digital twin technologies, and data lake architectures across multiple business functions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, etc.) and data science tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with the EV battery manufacturing process, supply chain dynamics, and related technologies is highly desirable.
