Wiring Harness Engineer - EV Charger

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Wiring Diagrams:

Create detailed wiring diagrams for electrical systems, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements and industry standards.

Design Cable Harnesses:

Develop cable harness assembly drawings, including routing, connector selection, and specification of wire types.

Verify Cable Harness Samples:

Conduct verification and testing of cable harness samples, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.

Prototype System Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of prototype systems, integrating wiring and harness designs into the overall system architecture.

Test Prototype Systems:

Participate in the testing and validation of developed prototypes, focusing on the electrical integrity and performance of wiring and harness assemblies

.Document Preparation:

Preparation, including production, customer service, and quality assurance documents, related to wiring diagrams and cable harness assemblies.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Support:

Provide support during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of systems, ensuring wiring and harness designs are correctly implemented and function as intended.

Support Production and NPI Teams:

Work closely with production, New Product Introduction (NPI), and customer service teams to resolve any wiring diagram or harness-related issues in new product launches.

Continuous Improvement:

Maintain and constantly improve existing wiring and harness systems, implementing changes based on feedback from production, quality assurance, and customer service teams.

Collaboration and Communication:

Act as a liaison between the engineering, production, and quality assurance teams, ensuring clear communication of wiring and harness design requirements and changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in wiring diagram and cable harness design.
• Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
