• Graduate

• Master Degree/ Adv. Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment Management/ SAMTRAC

• Qualified in implementation of EMS and OHSAS 18001 will be preferred

• ADIS, International HSE certification, ISO Auditing Internal as well as External, IOGP Management Systems, ISO 31000 Risk Management , ISO 45001, ISO 9001, Crisis Management and Medevac (ERM)

• Experience in providing detailed HSE ISO audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures
  

Role and Responsibility at Excelsis

• Develop all the required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System

• Manage the HSE audit and ensure Safe Work Permit

• Provide HSE improvement proposals stating: the non-conformance, proposed corrective action, required resources for corrective action and plan of implementation

• Investigate the root cause HSE complaints put forward by staff members, customers, clients and contractors and report the result to the manager

• Follow up to ensure that corrective actions are implemented where necessary and ensure that any certification requirements are complied with

• Manage and implement job safety analysis and inspect job site activities during particularly difficult or hazardous work situations.

• Assist local management in the preparation and presentation of field HSE meetings

• Coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents

• Review and analyze accidents and making corrective actions/recommendations

• Supervise the regular inspection of firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment

• Developing, implementing and managing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.

• Supervise all medical emergency preparation and implementation.

• Ensure that employees, contractors, and site visitors receive HSE inductions for theatre operations.

• Devise, supervise, and coordinate training programs or media which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE consciousness

• Responsible for preparing written weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and presentations related to HSE performance.

• Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position.

• Developing, implementing and managing HSE competency matrix and identifying the GAPs and plan actions to bridge the HSE GAPs.

• Oil Gas ( Technic FMC, Reliance, Cains, Vedanta, Saipem, Aker, Warley Parsons, Siemens, Flour etc)
