Director - IT Infra and Cloud For Pune Location

Role & responsibilities

The candidate shall be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's cloud computing and IT infrastructure. This role involves overseeing cloud services, data centers, networks, and related technologies to ensure high availability, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness. The Cloud and Infrastructure Head will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's technology strategy and maintaining optimal infrastructure performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Cloud Strategy and Management: Develop and communicate a comprehensive cloud and infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's objectives. Evaluate and select cloud service providers and technologies.

* Infrastructure Design and Maintenance: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability. Manage servers, networking, and storage infrastructure.

* Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards for cloud and infrastructure operations. Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.

* Cost Management: Optimize cloud resource allocation and infrastructure investments to control costs while maintaining performance. Monitor and manage infrastructure and cloud service expenses.

* Scalability and Performance: Ensure the infrastructure and cloud systems can scale to meet the organization's growing needs. Proactively address performance issues, bottlenecks, and capacity planning.

* Disaster Recovery and Backup: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and backup strategies for on-premises and cloud-based systems.

* Vendor and Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and select technology vendors, solutions, and tools to support infrastructure and cloud needs.

* Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IT professionals responsible for infrastructure and cloud management.

* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations, cloud policies, and procedures. Generate regular reports and provide updates to senior management.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).

* 18+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure management, with [X] years in a leadership role.

* Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IT infrastructure technologies.
