Migration Support:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned SAP S/4HANA Migration Technical Expert to manage and execute the technical aspects of SAP S/4HANA migration projects. This role requires hands-on expertise in SAP system conversion, database migration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, tools, and methodologies, ensuring a seamless transition to the new environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Assessment and Planning:
   • Analyze the existing SAP ECC landscape to prepare for migration.
   • Plan technical migration strategies, including greenfield, brownfield (system conversion), or hybrid approaches.
   • Conduct SAP Readiness Checks and technical assessments to identify potential challenges.
2. Migration Execution:
   • Perform technical system conversions using Software Update Manager (SUM) with Database Migration Option (DMO).
   • Execute database migrations, particularly to SAP HANA, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
   • Leverage tools like SAP Data Migration Cockpit, SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation), and custom scripts to facilitate migration.
3. System Landscape and Architecture:
   • Design and configure the target SAP S/4HANA system landscape, including servers, databases, and cloud/hybrid setups.
   • Optimize system performance by configuring HANA parameters, memory management, and indexing strategies.
   • Implement best practices for transport management, backup, and disaster recovery in the SAP S/4HANA environment.
4. Technical Troubleshooting and Optimization:
   • Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, performance issues, and conflicts during the migration process.
   • Debug and adapt custom ABAP programs for compatibility with SAP S/4HANA standards.
   • Ensure compatibility of add-ons, third-party integrations, and legacy systems with S/4HANA.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Document technical specifications, migration plans, and issue resolutions.
   • Provide regular technical updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders.
6. Post-Migration Support:
   • Deliver hyper-care support post-migration to ensure system stability and performance.
   • Guide internal IT teams on the new architecture and best practices.
