Role & responsibilities

• Ensure quality and integrity of financial and accounting data via sanity checks and balance sheet reviews
• Leading the monthly group management reporting with variance analysis on key business drivers and ensuring submissions to Group reporting timelines.
• Spearheading annual budgeting cycle and driving corporate deliverables for budget submissions from various business units.
• Use deep accounting and reporting knowledge to review and challenge monthly closings in cooperation with the consolidation team and in contact with the finance teams of multiple legal entities
• Prepare IFRS and consolidation adjustments and oversee IFRS updates, impact assessment and implementation. Review of new transactions and potential IFRS impact.
• Prepare/Review the reporting packages to the senior stakeholders
• Introduce and maintain consolidation-related closing documentation (checklists, best practice reporting, instructions, guidelines, etc.)
• Working on specific projects e.g., integration of new Group companies, merger activities, software updates, due diligences, new accounting standards implementation, etc.
• Leading of Business Intelligence system enhancement projects that enable timely management reporting.
• Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Planning and support of external audits

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (preferred) with a minimum of 10 - 12 years of group consolidation experience
• Expertise in Hyperion tools i.e., IRIS
• Solid knowledge of accounting, reporting and controls with genuine enthusiasm and ability for researching and solving accounting, reporting and operational issues is essential.
• Ability to drive work independently and run multiple projects that vary in scope and complexity simultaneously
• Excellent technical knowledge and deep understanding of IFRS
• High attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for results and high-quality output, thorough with an eye for continuous improvement
• Good time management and prioritizing skills, mindful of deadlines, highly organised and ability to work under pressure
• Strong technical knowledge, especially with financial reporting standards (SFRS) and consolidation principles, managing of accounting close & tight reporting deadlines for the leadership team
• Adaptable and flexible to learn and be involved with various Finance improvement projects
• Hands on SAP experience preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
• Strong ability to influence senior key regional stakeholders
