Responsibilities:

• Create a good health and safety environment at the workplace.
• Monitor and maintain personal protective equipment and first aid boxes.
• Conduct internal safety inspections and report unsafe activities.
• Create a safety committee and monitor the implementation of committee minutes.
• Conduct safety and first aid training for all employees.
• Maintain the fire hydrant system and smoke detectors.
• Monitor the onsite emergency plan and conduct mock drills.
• Handle accidents and incidents and prepare investigation reports.
• Ensure proper implementation of work permits and preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure safety during installation and demolishing works.
• Create purchase requests for safety and maintain PPE stock registers in line with shop floor employee requirements.
• Responsible for effluent collection and pre-treatment in ETP & STP.
• Operate ETP, STP, MEE & ATFD, RO plant and maintain required documents like logbooks as per requirement.
• Operate all plants effectively with zero incidents as per safety norms.
• Handle third-party manpower to work effectively.
• Handle spillages and ensure safe disposal practices.
• Store and handle hazardous waste as per norms.
• Provide training to all employees on the shop floor in line with SOPs.
• Check adherence of others to PPE and safety precautions as applicable.
• Report potential hazards, near misses, and accidents to relevant personnel.
• Attending emergency handling training and follow as required.
• Follow MSDS before handling any material.
