Senior Test Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Mid-Level QA Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing, particularly in functional, backend, API, and UI testing. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, experience working with globally distributed teams, and a solid understanding of SQL queries and Agile methodologies. This role requires expertise in Web Application and Progressive Web App (PWA) Testing, database validation, and API testing, along with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and perform functional, backend, API, and UI testing for web and desktop applications.
• Conduct manual API testing and validate system responses.
• Define and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts using tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, or JIRA.
• Oversee the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure test coverage, traceability, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Work closely with globally distributed teams to coordinate testing efforts.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
• Drive agile testing processes, participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated with the latest QA trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing, focusing on functional, backend, API, and UI testing.
2. Strong expertise in problem-solving and debugging complex issues.
3. Experience working with globally distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration.
4. Hands-on experience in database validation using SQL queries (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases).
5. Strong knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.
6. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
7. Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business teams.
8. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure with any of the test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
