Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Mumbai (Managing teams across India)

What the Candidate Will Do:
Candidate will be responsible to manage the fleet business of Everest, to optimise cost, increase profit, grow distribution and attract & retain talent, by demonstrating the following:
Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to define the company's global strategy and business goals.
- Lead the execution of the company's strategic vision, collaborating with the CEO and executive team to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
- Operationalize strategy, effectively prioritizing and adapting actions based on results, competition, or evolving trends
- Drive profitability, manage resources efficiently, and ensure the financial health of the regions
Operations Management:
- Optimize and streamline Fleet operations by building cutting-edge technology, analytics and processes
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor and improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability
- Drive performance metrics, optimize resource allocation, recruiting the right talent and implement cost-saving initiatives across regions.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
Shaping the business landscape:
- Facilitate the company's agenda by networking and influencing topics such as policy, regulation, business models, and risk tolerance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including government bodies , industry partners, and investors
- Experiment with creative and innovative approaches to solve business problems of the future
Quality decisions:
- Uncover deep business insights and use analytics and data to support judgments
- Take calculated risks, balancing short and long-term results
- Make informed, timely decisions when they are yours, defer to others where appropriate; disagree and commit to maintaining progress once a decision has been made as we operate in a collaborative culture of multiple stakeholders
Team Leadership:
- Acting as the most senior operational leader for Everest to help set broader directions on business operations, growth & P&L across all teams
- Provide visionary leadership, mentoring and inspiring teams to foster a high-performance, results-driven culture.
- Build and empower a high-performing leadership team across India, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and innovation.
What You'll Need:
- To be a high energy, empathetic leader with ethics & integrity, a social consciousness and exceptional execution skills
- 15+ years of experience, including at least five years in a senior leadership role within a high-growth, asset-intensive industry
- Experience in influencing and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid-growth environment with tight deadlines
- Experience in managing large teams across multiple territories and functions (including technology teams) whilst operating in a matrix reporting structure.
- High energy and motivational leadership driven by personal influence and clear communication, with demonstrated ability to build, coach, and inspire high-performing teams to reach their potential.
- A proven track record of hiring and managing leaders, creating a strong culture, and developing great talent
- Unparalleled business judgment and critical thinking skills and financial acumen, with the ability to use data to quickly establish the highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them
- Strategic thinking mindset with a hands-on management style
- Comfort with ambiguity as is usually seen in high growth companies or startups and intense drive to build a scalable, predictable & profitable business.
