Welfare Officer

Role & responsibilities

1. Employee Welfare:

• Develop, implement, and monitor welfare programs and activities in the plant.
• Act as a liaison between employees and management to address grievances and ensure effective resolution.
• Regularly interact with employees to understand their concerns and promote a positive workplace culture.

2. Statutory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with labor laws and welfare-related statutory provisions (Factories Act, 1948, etc.).
• Maintain and submit statutory welfare-related records and reports to regulatory authorities.

3. Health and Safety:

• Implement health and safety measures.
• Promote awareness about hygiene, sanitation, and safety at workplace.
• Ensure the availability of necessary amenities like clean drinking water, restrooms, and first-aid facilities.

4. Training & Awareness:

• Organize training sessions on employee rights, workplace ethics, HR policies, employees benefits
• Conduct awareness programs about health, safety, and personal well-being.

5. Community Engagement:

• Execute CSR activities related to employee and community welfare.

6. Others:

• To implement and suggest proactive step to reduce workers absenteeism
• To assist in recruitment and selection activities
• Responsibilities are not limited to theses only; the employee should take ownership of their work, assist Human Resource Manager and contribute to making HR processes more effective and streamlined.

Preferred candidate profile

MSW (Master of Social Work) with specialization in Industrial Relations / Labor Welfare preferred 02-05 yrs experience in Welfare, Health & Safety, Training, Grievance Handling

Decent communication skills

Dynamic & Presentable
