Job Title: Senior Manager/Manager - Costing

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and report on cost status throughout the product lifecycle, from program inception to launch.
• Lead cost trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with suppliers and cost estimation teams to gather quotes and estimates for engineering changes.
• Negotiate material, tooling, and engineering design/testing costs with suppliers.
• Maintain cost trackers and lead discussions on cost approvals with senior management.
• Benchmark competitors' cost data and generate Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) solutions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize system costs and support supplier onboarding.
• Provide regular updates on purchase orders and tooling status to the engineering team.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in product costing, with a focus on the automotive industry (exterior, interior, chassis, or electrical systems).
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
• Expertise in costing procedures, zero-based costing, and should-cost analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD (CATIA, Teamcenter) and PLM tools.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and the ability to identify cost drivers.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to lead discussions across cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
