Senior Manager/Manager - Sheet Metal commodity

About the Role:

Euler Motors is looking to hire a Manager / Senior Manager for the sheet metal and plastic commodity in the Supply Chain Function. We need our Supply Chain person to balance Strategic, Operational, Financial & People Responsibilities. With a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience, particularly in a commercial vehicle or car OEM sectors, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, including new product development, cost reduction, strategic sourcing, zero-based costing, and budgeting.

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze costs associated with the production of sheet metal parts, including materials, labor, overhead, and machining processes, to develop accurate costing models.
• Market Analysis: Conducting market research, forecasting trends, and identifying opportunities to capitalize on market dynamics for cost savings and competitive advantage

. ● Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, such as disruptions in supply, geopolitical challenges, or economic uncertainties, to ensure supply chain resilience.

• Technology Integration: Leveraging procurement technologies and digital tools to streamline procurement processes, enhance visibility, and drive efficiency within the supply chain.
• Procurement Process Management: Overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, from requisition to payment, to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitoring supplier performance metrics, conducting supplier evaluations, and implementing corrective actions to address under performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Contract Management: Managing supplier contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and optimize cost savings opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in cost estimation, costing analysis, or financial analysis within the automobile manufacturing sector, specifically with sheet metal components

. ● Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies related to sheet metal fabrication.

• Proficient in cost modelling and financial analysis tools and software.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing cost-saving strategies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly

. ● Familiarity with relevant Indian automotive industry standards and practices is an advantage.
