Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Operations Management:

1. Oversee critical financial processes including Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Treasury, and Taxation.
2. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
3. Monitor and control operating costs, analyzing variances between budgeted and actual figures, and identifying areas for cost reduction.
4. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and regulatory submissions aligned with industry standards.
5. Lead monthly financial closing activities and maintain accuracy and hygiene in the books of accounts.
6. Monitor and manage working capital, receivables, payables, and cash flow for operational efficiency.
7. Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
8. Drive the timely completion of statutory audits, internal audits, and due diligence processes.
9. Responsible for overall financial operations at the factory including invoicing, AR, AP, General Accounting, Product Costing, Inventory Valuation & Controls, MIS & reporting etc.
10. Preparation of Plant P&L and other MIS reports, as may be required by the management from time to time.

Collaboration and Performance Metrics:

1. Collaborate with plant operations, supply chain, and other departments to align financial objectives with operational goals.
2. Partner with the CFO to drive business growth and profitability through strategic initiatives and detailed analysis. Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the CFO.
3. Weekly review of advance balance, monthly review & reconciliation of accounts payable balances. Identifying and addressing the irregularities promptly.
4. Process Improvement:
5. Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial workflows and systems to enhance productivity and accuracy.
6. Drive the timely completion of statutory audits, internal audits, and due diligence processes.
7. Implement strong governance frameworks and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
8. Ensuring timely and correct invoicing, GRN movements, E-way bills preparation.
9. Weekly review of advance balance, monthly review & reconciliation of accounts payable balances. Identifying and addressing the irregularities promptly.
10. Ensuring budgetary controls at the plant level.
11. Strong knowledge of taxation both direct and indirect. Ensuring timely compliances and tax management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in finance, Cost Accountant / Chartered Accountant or MBA finance from reputed Institute.
• Experience: 14+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably in a manufacturing organization or fast paced/start-up environment.Proven 5+ years experience as a Finance Controller is must.
• Team Leadership:Proven experience leading and managing teams of 20+ members, ensuring productivity and alignment with organizational goals.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience with ERP systems. Proficiency in SAP is a must requirement.
• Knowledge: Understanding of cost accounting, financial reporting standards, and inventory management principles. High proficiency in MS office and MS Excel. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge of taxation both direct and indirect. Ensuring timely compliances and tax management.
