Product Manager - Investment Reporting

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Product Manager with expertise in investment reporting and data visualization to join our team in Bangalore. As a senior individual contributor, you will own the strategy, development, and delivery of reporting solutions that empower investment teams with actionable insights. Your ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders while leveraging Microsoft Power BI and Fabric will be critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy and Vision:
• Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and strategy for investment reporting solutions.
• Align product goals with organizational priorities and customer needs.
• Continuously assess market trends and internal feedback to enhance reporting capabilities.

2 Data-Driven Decision-Making:

• Partner with stakeholders to understand investment data needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
• Analyze investment performance metrics, identify trends, and enable data-driven decisions through advanced reporting tools.

3. Microsoft Power BI Enablement:

• Lead the design, development, and rollout of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data sources and maintain reporting accuracy.
• Champion the use of Power BI within the organization by educating teams and driving adoption.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and senior leadership.
• Communicate complex data insights and reporting requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams to gather feedback and iterate on product improvements.

5. Operational Excellence:

• Ensure reporting solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Optimize reporting processes for scalability, automation, and efficiency.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of reporting solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.

Experience:

• 6- 8 years of experience, with a focus on financial or investment reporting.
• At least 3 years of experience in a product management role, ideally in financial services or a related industry.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and advanced dashboard development).
• Strong understanding of investment data, financial metrics, and portfolio analysis.
• Familiarity with SQL. Data pipelines, and APIs is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills to articulate product value to diverse audiences.
• A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment domains.
• Exposure to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) metrics and reporting.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
