Placement Manager

Job Summary:

EThames Degree College is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Placement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining strong connections with industry partners to facilitate internship and placement opportunities for our students. The Placement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective placement strategies, coordinating with employers, and supporting students in their career development.

Responsibilities:

Industry Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with companies and organizations to create placement opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with industry professionals to understand their recruitment needs and align them with the skills and qualifications of our students.

Placement Strategy:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive placement strategy to ensure maximum placement opportunities for students.
• Stay updated on industry trends, employment demands, and skill requirements to tailor the placement strategy accordingly.

Student Support:

• Provide career counseling and guidance to students, helping them identify career goals and aligning them with suitable placement opportunities.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance students' employability skills, including resume building, interview preparation, and networking.

Placement Events:

• Organize job fairs, placement drives, and networking events to connect students with potential employers.
• Coordinate and facilitate on-campus recruitment activities, including interviews and assessments.

Database Management:

• Maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, job opportunities, and student placements.
• Track and analyze placement data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with faculty members to align academic curriculum with industry needs, ensuring students are equipped with relevant skills.
• Collaborate with alumni to establish a network for mentorship and job placement opportunities.

Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of student placements, including success stories and feedback from employers.
• Generate reports for management and stakeholders on placement activities and outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience in placement, career counseling, or related roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent networking abilities and the capacity to build and maintain industry relationships.
• Familiarity with current job market trends and industry requirements.
• Organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data management and analysis.
