The QA Engineer will work with a team of QA and Development professionals. QA Engineers contribute to each phase of Exostars product development life cycle, including production go-live releases and product support.
Responsibilities :
Participate in all aspects of the development life cycle to advocate quality
Write test plans and supporting QA documentation
Write test cases based on business requirements, use cases, technical requirements and design documents
Execute manual test cases
Automate test cases using testing tools
Create, gather and report test metrics to management team
Use HP Quality Center to report and track defects
Develop and enhance Quality Assurance process, policy and procedure documentation
Qualifications/Experience :
Strong understanding of common QA methodologies
Minimum 5 years related QA experience
Minimum 5 years testing web-based software solutions
Aerospace and Defense experience is a plus
Experience with internet and web based applications
Experience with internet security and security applications
Strong team approach to problem solving
Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal)
Proven ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
Experience designing and automating manual test cases is beneficial
Demonstrated ability for analytical and critical thinking
Ability to interface with customer and represent Exostar
Technical Skills :
Experience with HP suite of tools, Quality Center and Quick Test Professional is beneficial
Knowledge of SQL, XML, and RDBMS
Test automation experience with tools such as HP UFT and Selenium a plus
Experience with Microsoft cloud services like Teams, SharePoint, and Java
Education
BS degree in a technology discipline or similar experience in a QA role
