Technology Lead - NestJS/Express.js (5-8 yrs)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Lead to spearhead the development of scalable systems and lead a talented engineering team. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and product-centric thinking to drive our projects to success.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using NestJS, Express.js, and other JavaScript frameworks.

- Architect and manage databases including PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Leverage AWS services such as ECS, RDS, Redis, and EKS to build robust, cloud-native applications.

- Oversee the development and scaling of systems capable of handling concurrent traffic of up to 5-10K RPM.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and implement innovative product solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 5+ engineers, ensuring high performance and team motivation.

- Utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence to manage projects, track progress, and streamline workflows.

- Keep abreast of advancements in technology, particularly within the Shopify ecosystem (a plus).

- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the engineering team.

Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Expertise in JavaScript and backend frameworks like NestJS and Express.

- Solid understanding of DBMS, including PostgreSQL, SQL, and MongoDB.

- Proven experience in managing AWS services such as ECS, RDS, Redis, EKS, and related technologies.

- Strong background in designing and managing large-scale systems with high traffic loads (5-10K RPM).

- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem is an advantage.

Other Skills :

- Strong product knowledge with an ability to contribute to ideation and solutioning.

- Proven leadership experience, managing and mentoring a team of at least 5 engineers.

- Proficiency in project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

- Demonstrated passion for solving complex problems and ensuring operational excellence.

- Should have experience of working with IT services and client communications.
