Accounts Executive

To consolidate & validate specific Essar Groups investment companies accounting ledger and undertake all day-to-day transactions of the specific company, maintain books of accounts and create financial reports in order to meet the investment strategies of the respective business / entity of Essar Capital as per the financial needs ensuring appropriate adherence to required accounting and financial reporting standards while ensuring closure.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Financial Control and Reporting

• Maintain the books of accounts and periodic reconciliation.
• Financial reporting for the assigned standalone entities and group reporting under the International Financial Reporting Standards. International Accounting Standards
• Monitor and update accounts in SAP system and databases and ensure regular financial reporting and analysis of accounts on every transactions
• Produces regular financial reporting and analysis for review by Head Accounts
• Provide timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end closing reporting according to Essar Groups policies
• Maintain systems for prompt and accurate collection of financial and accounting information
• Ensure consistent application of accounting standards and International standards in financial reporting
• Ensuring effective control framework for recording & reporting transactions in a timely manner

Compliance and Audit

• Interact with compliance and audit team and ensure audit completion as per Essar Group’s guidelines
• Provide support in conducting the annual audits and review the annual reports conducted by compliance team and external agencies and identify any challenges / bottleneck and report it to the Head Accounts
• Ensure compliance through effective accounting controls and financial management, in line with defined delegation of authority
• Ensure that the financial processes are compliant with the statutory, regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments to staff, suppliers and service providers
• Advise the Head Accounts with regards to regulatory requirements and any other matters of concern in relation to compliance for suitable action
• Provide financial information for the compliance reports to be filed and ensure Zero default in regulatory filings
• Provide information for the tax assessment to tax team.
