Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
- Process and oversee the entire payroll cycle, including data collection, validation, calculation, and disbursement.
- Ensure accurate computation of salaries, bonuses, incentives, and deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and address discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute pay slips, tax documents, and salary certificates.
- Monitor and manage payroll systems to ensure timely and error-free execution.
Compliance and Statutory Management:
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus Act, and other labor laws.
- File monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns on time.
- Manage employee tax declarations, exemptions, and filing of TDS returns.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in labor laws and compliance standards and implement necessary adjustments.
Employee Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits such as insurance, gratuity, and leave encashment.
- Handle queries related to payroll, statutory deductions, and employee benefits with clarity and efficiency.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate and present payroll and compliance reports to management for decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including contracts, tax declarations, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation of policies, processes, and procedures related to payroll and compliance.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Automate repetitive tasks and integrate tools for seamless payroll and compliance operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related fields.
- Professional certification in payroll management or labor law compliance is preferred.
Professional Experience: 8-10 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and compliance management.
- Experience in managing payroll software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or KEKA).
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, statutory compliance, and labor laws.
- Proficiency in Excel for payroll calculations, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with income tax laws, tax exemptions, and TDS processes.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of HRMS tools and ERP systems for payroll and compliance.
- Experience in managing payroll audits and statutory inspections
