Job Description

Title- Managing Consultant - Mergers & Acquisitions (Transaction Advisory) (Mid-Senior Level)

As part of our continued growth and innovation of our Merges & Acquisitions service, ERM is seeking motivated ESG Due Diligence Consultant who is interested in participating in a variety of projects covering the full spectrum of ERM s services to be based in India.

ERM s M&A Transaction Advisory services provide unrivaled global capabilities and in-depth understanding across the financial, commercial, industrial, and extractive sectors.

Some of our key DD services include:

EHS/ESG/E&S due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, capital raising and project finance including Equator Principal reviews
Carbon and energy due diligence
Post-merger Integration support
Management system, EHS culture, gap analysis, and benchmarking
Embedding social, stakeholder and sustainability elements into due diligence

ERM is seeking a motivated Senior Consultant to join our team in India.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage and perform ESG and EHS due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, capital raising and project finance including Equator Principal reviews and property sales and leases.
Manage and conduct E&S due diligence for project finance
Coordinate ESG advisory projects with support from conception through delivery to client, including identifying strategic direction of the work and assisting supporting team members in project-related tasks.
Reporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports and metrics.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary, or multi-workstream projects spanning various aspects of a client s sustainability platform in a collaborative and effective manner. This can involve creating project plans, delegating tasks and deliverables to colleagues, and providing ultimate oversight and review of deliverables.
Leading the project team and building its reputation within ERM in terms of project management expertise and delivering exceptional performance.
Providing the project team with clear visibility of the project objectives, and the benefits expected by the client and ERM.
Accountable for meeting personal billability at the budgeted rate, personal sales contribution targets and relevant BU target.
Creating and sustaining ERM s reputation for technical excellence in a technical specialty or subject matter through working with clients and professional associations.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with external knowledge communities and effectively transferring this expertise back ERM.
Client satisfaction through project communications & engagement, quality of outputs produced to deliver client service excellence.
Identification of efficiencies in carrying out deliverable related tasks.
Providing leadership to achieve health and safety excellence, including developing ERM and Subcontractor understanding of ERM s commitment to safe working and the importance of adherence to ERM s and client s safety management requirements
Work with Partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that each proposal and project is adequately. resourced and those individual team members have targeted useful billability and related objectives are achieved.
Work with project PICs to ensure the team understands and delivers client satisfaction.
Engage, inspire and motivate the team to achieve ERM s goals, fostering collaborative working.
Assist account director partnering with Clients in developing sustainability and ESG strategies across private equity, corporations and other interested global firms.
Potential exposure to lead a high-performing and results-orientated team.
Participate and lead at times the evolution of service / offer strategy and development for ESG related consulting services.
Continue to broaden your knowledge and experience within ESG/Sustainability/Diversity space by educating yourself on evolving standards and best practices as well as attending relevant industry events.
Hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees for efficient service to customers, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.
Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.

Requirements:

Bachelors/ masters in environmental sciences, Environmental Engineering or related fields.
At least 8-12 years of relevant experience, preferred to be in consultancy with relevant project experience in EHS/ESG/E&S Due Diligence of experiences as a plus (such as climate change, EHS permitting, compliance audit, and other relevant experiences);
Familiar with Financial Sector in India and the region, in particular PE and/or commercial banks as a plus.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Experienced in large or medium scale portfolio project management.
Experience in end-to-end proposal and client management.
Demonstrate familiarity with M&A market in India and the region.
Experience with people/team management preferred.
Ability to travel, maintain flexibility in work hours and work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent command of English (written and spoken);
Excellent virtual or face-to-face presentation skills, with a firm understanding of deal dynamics for a given assignment.
Knowledge and/or interest in corporate sustainability, sustainable finance and/or ESG data & analytics
