Job Description
Power BI
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data modeling, analytics, dashboard creation, and deploying solutions in Power BI. This role is critical for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities: - Data Modeling:
- Design and develop optimized data models for efficient querying and analysis.
- Create relationships and hierarchies within datasets to support business
- requirements.
- Perform data transformation using Power Query and DAX.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Analyze complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Develop interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Write and optimize DAX formulas for calculations and aggregations.
- Deployment & Maintenance:
- Publish and manage dashboards in Power BI Service.
- Implement row-level security and user access controls.
- Schedule and monitor data refreshes and performance.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with
- business objectives.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate data sources and maintain data
- pipelines.
- Provide end-user training and support for Power BI solutions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and database design.
- Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language).
- Familiarity with connecting Power BI to various data sources (Postgres, Excel,
- APIs, etc.).
- Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to address business needs.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Experience:
- 5+ working with Power BI and analytics.
- Experience in deploying Power BI solutions in enterprise environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, and Postgres is a must
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus.
- Experience in embedding Power BI dashboards into applications.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
