Visualisation Developer - Business Intelligence (5-10 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

BI Tool Development :

- Design, define schema, implement, and maintain BI tools.

- Create tabular and multidimensional models that meet data warehouse standards.

Performance Optimization:

- Perform performance tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of BI solutions.

- Conduct query performance tuning for optimal efficiency.

Requirement Analysis:

- Interpret business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

- Gather and document requirements from stakeholders.

Development Environment Setup :

- Set up and configure the development environment and associated tools.

Data Security & Privacy :

- Manage, monitor, and ensure the security and privacy of data to meet business needs.

- Implement row-level security and understand application security models in Power BI.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with DBAs to manage data models and implement database changes.

- Coordinate with the UAT team to ensure thorough testing and validation.

- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and team members.

Support & Maintenance :

- Provide after-hours support on a rotational basis when necessary.

Documentation :

- Maintain design methodologies, project documentation, and report design specifications.

Role Requirements :

- Proven experience in implementing different visualization techniques.

- Strong knowledge of data profiling and data validation methods.

- Proficiency in advanced SQL and PL SQL programming concepts.

- Familiarity with Data Warehouse concepts and best practices.

- Experience with relational databases, non-relational databases, data streams, and file stores.

- Strong aptitude for logical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and adapt to a fast-paced Agile environment.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear visual insights.

Additional Requirements :

- Experience in building Analysis Services reporting models.

- Expertise in developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.

- Proficiency in connecting to various data sources, importing, and transforming data for BI purposes.

- Strong analytical thinking to translate data into meaningful reports and visuals.

- Ability to create advanced-level calculations using DAX queries.

- Experience in developing tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.

- Understanding of data security and governance, including implementing row-level security.

- Capability to design and maintain project documentation and design methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-based data solutions.

- Knowledge of Agile concepts and experience in Agile delivery.

- Experience with advanced BI concepts and large-scale data handling.

- Certification in Power BI or relevant BI tools.
