Job Description
Role: Firewall Infrastructure Engineer
Who are we looking for
We are looking for a highly skilled networking professional with experience as a Firewall Infrastructure Engineer with comprehensive IP Network knowledge who performs end-to-end services for clients using a consultative approach.
Years of experience needed -
Candidate must have overall 8-12 years of experience in medium and large-scale network enabled enterprises.
Technical Skills:
Candidate must have at least 3 -5 years of recent hands-on experience on one of the firewall platforms (Checkpoint, Fortinet or Palo Alto)
Hands on experience in identifying and triaging issues and resolving them.
Working knowledge of BGP/OSPF routing protocols.
Knowledge on Enterprise Security Networking + Cloud
Knowledge of Orchestration tools - Tufin/Algosec etc.
Knowledge on CLI/Enterprise tools like Splunk to help with troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Linux operating systems and commands.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python
Understanding of Agile Methodologies.
Process Skills:
Add, Change, delete policy-based requests on daily basis on one of the firewall vendors ( Fortinet /Checkpoint/Palo Alto) or Orchestration tools like Tufin/Algosec
Analysing network traffic on firewalls and other adjacent devices.
Should be able to identify connectivity drop along the network path.
Ensure the configuration of rules are as per security standards.
Ability to administer firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs)
Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
Develop and maintain documentation for firewall policies and procedures.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends and technologies.
Respond to security incidents and investigate potential security breaches.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot firewalls issues.
Flexible to work in off hours/weekends.
Flexible to work in 24x7 on-call rotation.
Qualification:
Graduate / Postgraduate
