Job Description:

The Candidate Should Have a Strong Knowledge in Tool Room to oversee and assist operators in tooling production. The candidate will be responsible for skill development, maximizing efficiency, tool loss analysis, tool servicing time reduction, ensuring safety, and driving continuous improvement in the tooling processes. The role involves supervising operations, managing tool inventory, and motivating teams to actively participate in various improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Tooling Operations: Oversee all tooling operations and report to In-Charge to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
• Tool Loss Analysis: Conduct daily Tool Loss Analysis, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective actions to resolve issues promptly.
• Address Tool Shortages: Monitor tool inventory and highlight any shortages/discrepancies to the Section In-Charge and Production In-Charge, ensuring alternative plans are in place.
• Optimize Resource Utilization: Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials to reduce wastage and increase efficiency.
• Guidelines for Tool Usage: Provide clear guidelines and instructions to production operators on tool usage to avoid operational disruptions.
• Employee Motivation: Encourage and motivate employees in the tooling team to participate in suggestion schemes, QCC (Quality Control Circles), and Kaizen activities.
• QCC & Suggestion Scheme Updates: Track and implement suggestions and QCC initiatives, ensuring they align with company objectives.
• Tool Inventory Management: Ensure timely supply of tools to production, maintaining continuous operations without stoppages.
• Training Programs: Arrange and conduct training sessions to upskill the tooling team and enhance overall team performance.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the tool room operates in a safe environment and complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in roll forming, rollers, turret punch press, power press, and press brake tool maintenance and design.
• Experience in tooling production and related industries is preferred.

Competencies Required:

• Knowledge: Expertise in Roll Forming, Punching, Press, Press Brake tools, Engineering Drawings, and CNC Machine Operations.
