Job Description

As a Team Lead, youll play a critical role in supervising, managing, and motivating team members daily to optimize productivity and collaboration. Excellent communication skills are essential as you ll be the primary contact for all team members, facilitating smooth team operations and ensuring project objectives are met promptly and effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary resources and support to perform their roles efficiently.
Supervise and evaluate each team members performance, offering feedback, and implementing corrective actions as needed to optimize productivity and quality.
Ensure project control and monitoring tools are updated and accurately represent the projects real-time status.
Address and resolve project-related issues, alerting higher management and clients to risks and conflicts that could impact project success.
Facilitate consistent communication with the team, superiors, and clients to provide updates and address inquiries related to project development.
Liaise with other departments within the organization to address and resolve matters related to the project, client, or team members (e.g., client visits, network and computer equipment issues).

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Informatics.
Possess proven experience in a Team Lead role.
Demonstrate exceptional leadership and team management skills, with proven experience inspiring and directing cross-functional teams.
Show strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Possess a problem-solving mindset, equipped with the creativity and collaborative spirit to address and resolve challenges efficiently.

Role-specific Requirements

Expert-level skills in Java, specifically with extensive experience in using Spring Framework and Spring Boot for building robust backend services. Familiarity with Java-based ORM technologies like Hibernate, and expertise in managing dependency injection, modular architecture, and microservices using Spring are essential.
Experience in developing and maintaining merchant-facing APIs, and ensuring these integrations are robust and scalable.
Strong skills in writing unit, integration, and stress tests for server-side code to ensure software robustness, usability, and reliability.
Ability to work collaboratively with frontend developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements and deliver optimal outcomes.
Knowledge of secure coding practices, ability to implement security patches, and maintain a focus on application security to protect sensitive user data.
Experience in conducting code reviews, refactoring code, and ensuring compliance with established coding standards.
Important - Capable of independently solving problems and implementing solutions within a team environment. A keen interest in contributing ideas to enhance the quality and functionality of products.
