Sr Cloud Platform Engineer

• Cloud Engineering with a Data Focus: Architect and implement cloud infrastructure tailored to data processing, storage, and access needs, leveraging AWS data services such as S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Airflow and Lake Formation.
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience in cloud engineering or data platform engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
• AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with core AWS data services, including S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, and IAM. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, with experience in automation and scripting.
• ETL & Data Pipelines: Proven experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows, with a focus on orchestration using tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Security & Compliance: Knowledge of AWS security best practices and experience implementing policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Communication: Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
