The Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in working with the Innovation teams to guide experimentation with emerging technologies, such as Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, and Blockchain. She or he will hold the development teams accountable for iterative design and development plans that align with the agreed upon vision. The Solution Architect will be responsible for establishing and enforcing best practices and standards around modern cloud solutions architecture. They will become involved in every project from the beginning by partnering with subject matter experts to drive quality requirements, designs, and successful implementations that are vital to the business. This role requires a person that works well with a team and can easily adapt to change. In this rapid paced environment, the person must possess a "can-do" attitude while demonstrating a strong work ethic. This position requires a person that will not only identify solutions, but also see them through to completion. Due to the breadth of responsibilities, a self-motivated individual is highly desired. This person should have a strong aptitude to help drive decisions. He or she will be actively involved in influencing the strategic direction of emerging technologies. There will be frequent collaboration across all teams (internally and externally). The Solution Architect must understand cloud technology options and teach the team to leverage them where appropriate. The Solution Architect’s day to-day activities include, but are not limited to the responsibilities listed below.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Convert requirements into an architecture and design that will become the blueprint for a proof-of-concept or solution.
• Act as coach and mentor for multiple teams of developers supporting the Innovation Lab.
• Work on assigned projects to design, develop, and test solutions to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
• Coach members of the development teams on good practice, and the use of emerging technologies in the development process.
• Review colleagues’ work and collaborate with the other teams on how to develop optimally performing, quality, and scalable solutions.
• Work with Architects to provide requirements for solution design related to the Innovation Lab environment.
• Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are being managed in conjunction with enterprise governance management.
• Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are meeting Audit, Balance & Control (ABC) requirements and are meeting quality and audit requirements.
• Improve and maintain development standards, updating for best practices and use of tools including development standards and version control. Influence and enforce architectural strategy for Innovation Cloud environment and reuse of architectural components.
• Participate in the evaluation of technical options, challenge the status quo, support the creation of solid business cases, and influence direction while establishing partnerships with key partners.
• Participate in planning for and shaping the long-term strategy, tools, and platforms that will support the delivery of Innovation Lab solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or have equivalent experience
• Strong experience Java, AWS, Springboot, Microservices etc
• Experience in Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, and Blockchain is must.
• 10+ years' experience in architecting Enterprise Solutions, Data Integration, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual that thrives in a team environment.
• Demonstrated continuous learning of new technologies.
• Strong development skills -- knowledge of writing complex code, and tuning.
• Experience with solution design.
• Basic understanding of data science principles and data needs.
• Financial Services industry experience.
• Agile Experience. Big Data experience. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Experience, Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure experience. Containerized Application experience. Project management experience. Spark, Scala, Java, Pro-C, Python programming experience.
