Associate Manager Safety

1Excellent knowledge of National Legislation, Standards & Codes pertaining to OH & S

2Sound knowledge of fire engineering, fire prevention & fire mitigation procedures

3Expertise in implementing & maintaining ISO-9001, ISO14001 & ISO 45001 certification

4Experience in developing safety standards, systems, manuals, procedures, work instructions & to advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries

5Experience ability of develop training modules & conducting training programs/workshops either independently or in collaboration with the training department to different targeted groups on need based topics like heavy equipment's, Behavior Based Safety , Cranes, Lifting tools tackles, Pressure Plant Safety, Gas Cylinders, Contractor Safety Management.

6Sound knowledge of JSA, HIRA, Safety Audits, Safety Surveys, , Health & Safety MIS, Safety Performance Measurement Indicators, Safety Committee Meeting, Work Permit System, Positive Energy Isolation, Accident Reporting , recording & investigation(root cause analysis) & to check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries. Also advise on the maintenance of such records as necessary relating to accidents, dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases

7Sound knowledge of latest & most suitable safety equipment's like personal protective equipment's(both respiratory & non-respiratory) as required by industrial activities & to advise the purchasing and stores departments in ensuring high quality and availability of personal protective equipment

8To organize, in association with the concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedures

9Basic knowledge of Process Safety Management & to carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedure followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers

10Knowledge on Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) is desirable & added advantage but not mandatory.

11Work knowledge of SAP MM Module & Safety Management Software
