Elucidata - Senior Engineering Manager (10-15 yrs)

About the Role :

The role requires strong leadership in overseeing multiple engineering teams, ensuring alignment with roadmaps and charters, while mentoring managers and senior engineers. You'll establish and enforce software engineering best practices, contribute to hiring and performance reviews, and drive timely project deliveries. As a key customer-facing leader, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring that engineering solutions meet both internal goals and customer needs, and act as the go-to person for all technical discussions to deliver value-driven outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Leading multiple engineering teams, each with a charter and a roadmap of its own

- Mentoring managers, technology leads and senior engineers.

- Establishing and enforcing quality standards and best practices around software engineering.

- Contributing to the hiring and performance review processes.

- Attending and preciding over external and internal stakeholder meetings.

- Be the go-to person for all the technology needs and discussions required by the product

and the business teams.

- Drive engineering sprints and delivery cycles for crucial projects.

Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of experience building commercial software applications and platforms.

- Minimum 3 years experience managing a diverse team of engineers.

- Exposure to one or more programming languages, eg. Python, C++, JavaScript, etc.

- Experience working with databases, both relational and nosql

- Experience working with one or more cloud hyperscalers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good to have Skills :

- Exposure to the Azure cloud platform

- Experience working with Snowflake
