MEP Engineer - Plumbing Engineer

As a Plumbing Draftsman, you will play a vital role in our project team, contributing to the successful execution of plumbing designs. Your primary responsibility will be to translate conceptual plumbing designs into accurate technical drawings. Working closely with engineers and other stakeholders, you will ensure the precision and clarity of drawings, contributing to the overall success of our projects. Your attention to detail and proficiency in drafting software will be critical in producing high-quality documentation that adheres to industry standards.

Key Accountabilities

Drafting and Design:

• Create precise and comprehensive Plumbing drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Interpret plumbing design concepts and translate them into technical drawings, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough reviews of plumbing drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
• Address any discrepancies or inconsistencies identified during the review process.
• Work collaboratively with the project team to implement feedback and revisions.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with plumbing engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements.
• Communicate effectively to ensure that drawings accurately represent the plumbing design intent.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates related to plumbing drawings.
• Adherence to Standards:
• Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices related to plumbing design and drafting.
• Ensure that all plumbing drawings comply with relevant standards and specifications.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plumbing Draftsman
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, components, and symbols.
• Familiarity with plumbing codes and standards related to design and drafting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to adapt designs to practical considerations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

Formal Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 8 Years of experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AutoCAD and other relevant drafting tools.
• Proven track record of successfully translating electrical designs into accurate technical drawings.
• Experience working on [specific types of projects, if applicable].
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, with a commitment to staying updated on changes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to practical constraints.
