Lead Java Developer

Role & responsibilities

• As a lead developer, you will contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications deployed on the Azure cloud platform.
• We're seeking a dynamic individual who can lead and actively participate in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle.
• You'll collaborate with Product Owners to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timelines and resource requirements, propose solutions, and identify potential risks.
• Your role involves supporting the team to ensure all committed stories for the sprint are completed per the sprint goal.
• Additionally, you'll drive architecture and design decisions to achieve cost-effective and high performance results.
• Conducting peer reviews to enhance code quality is also a key aspect of this role.

The skills and qualifications you'll need

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java development using Java, Spring Boot, REST Services, microservices, Azure Cloud services, etc.
• Experience in Agile development processes.
• Experience with cloud-based application development and deployment using Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful web services.
• Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Thyme Leaf components would be advantageous.
