Role & responsibilities

Theka Coffee is a fast-growing business in the retail cart industry, specializing in cold coffee, mil shakes, ice cream and other FMCG products. As we expand, we seek a dynamic HR Manager to oversee all human resource functions, ensuring smooth operations and an engaged workforce.



Job Summary:


We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to handle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, payroll, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, preferably in the retail, FMCG, or food service industry. They should be well-versed in labor laws, HR policies, and strategies to enhance employee engagement and productivity.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop hiring strategies to attract top talent for retail cart operations and support teams.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Build a talent pipeline for future business needs.

2. Employee Engagement & Relations:

  • Create a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with company values and industry best practices.

3. Performance Management & Training:

  • Implement performance appraisal systems and set KPIs for different roles.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Work with department heads to improve productivity and retention.

4. Payroll & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management.
  • Handle employee benefits, insurance, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, labor laws, etc.).
  • Stay updated on HR legal requirements and ensure company adherence.

5. HR Operations & Administration:

  • Maintain employee records and HR databases.
  • Manage employee contracts, policies, and documentation.
  • Job Summary workforce planning and optimize manpower allocation.


Preferred candidate profile


  • 8-12 years of experience in HR management, preferably in retail, FMCG, or food service.
  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HR software (HRMS, payroll systems) and MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling multi-location retail workforce management.
  • Knowledge of HR digital tools for recruitment, payroll, and performance management.
  • Ability to design HR policies and initiatives from scratch.
