Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Manager for Conference Sales to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all event operations on a day-to-day basis, managing and maintaining prospect databases, and contributing to marketing and sales strategies for conference events. The Assistant Manager will also develop marketing collateral, implement marketing campaigns, and support the sales team in achieving goals.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with excellent communication skills.
  • An achiever mindset with a proven track record in sales or event coordination.
  • Experience in developing marketing materials and presentations.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Deep understanding of B2B markets and the ability to map and identify key sectors for business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and operational aspects of the event on a daily basis, including coordinating with vendors, speakers, and event staff to ensure all event logistics are handled smoothly.
  • Data Management & Campaigns: Manage large prospect databases, customize content based on the conference's focus, and execute targeted email campaigns to engage and convert potential attendees and sponsors.
  • Sales & Sponsorships: Drive event marketing and sponsorship sales by reaching out to potential sponsors, providing detailed information on event offerings, and negotiating sponsorship packages while ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Client Research & Development: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities, prospective clients, and industry trends, continuously building a pipeline of leads.
  • Marketing Collateral Development: Develop and coordinate the creation of marketing materials, presentations, and promotional content tailored to event goals and target audiences.
  • Campaign Implementation & Monitoring: Assist in the design, execution, and tracking of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, social media, and web), ensuring they align with the overall event strategy and goals.
  • Brand Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure event branding is consistent across all communication channels and platforms, enhancing event visibility and engagement.
  • Lead Nurturing: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through regular follow-up communications, nurturing leads to ensure they convert into actual attendees or sponsors.
  • Event Feedback & Reporting: Gather attendee and sponsor feedback post-event to measure success and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress, lead conversion, and event metrics.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the event operations team, content team, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient execution of event plans.
  • Market Analysis & Competitor Tracking: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices to keep our events competitive, relevant, and innovative.
  • Client Engagement: Attend and represent the company at pre-event networking functions, industry events, and post-event engagements to promote upcoming conferences and build long-term business relationships.
