Fabrication Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Knowledge of metal fabrication (various welding procedure like TIG, MIG, SMAW)
• Should be aware about Selection of Welding consumables based on Raw material MOC
• Responsible for Raw material calculation and planning as per Project priority
• Ability to read and understand Fabrication and machining drawings
• Should have knowledge of welding jigs & fixtures
• Should have knowledge of WPS, WPQ, PQR
• Should know how to make SOP and fabrication process sheets
• Should know how to do capacity planning
• Responsible for welding engineering Dept and provide support to all teams and maintain quality of all work processes in systems.
• Should be aware of Raw material cutting machines like (Laser cutting machine and Gas cutting machine) and feeding of .dxf into cutting machines for RM cutting.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should be aware of Heat treatment procedure based on raw material composition.
• Manpower planning according to production requirements. Shift wise work allotment.
• Ensuring that Health and safety regulations are met during welding process in Fabrication Dept.
• Experience and ability to do nesting in software
• Have knowledge and earlier demonstrated systematic accountability & tracking of RM in ERP and physically
• 5S knowledge and expectation in practice in Fabrication
• Preferred knowledge on Kaizen or other production improvement activities
• Candidate should have 10-12 years of experience in RM & RM cutting Planning in profile Cutting machine, welding engineering, Structures fabrication capacity planning and execution skill.
