Job Description

Job Overview:


Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Jr. Executive Engineer - Business Development, to drive customer engagement and support commercial growth within the automobile manufacturing sector. The candidate will be responsible for managing the RFQ process, developing competitive proposals, and fostering strong relationships with clients. A focus on market research and cross-functional collaboration will be essential for identifying new business opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Customer Management:
    • Actively engage with assigned customers to understand their needs and align them with the company's offerings.
    • Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention, ensuring that business objectives are met.
  • Commercial Development:
    • Analyze project requirements and develop commercial proposals that are competitive and profitable.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • RFQ Process Management:
    • Oversee the entire Request for Quotation (RFQ) process from initiation to submission.
    • Coordinate with various departments (engineering, production, etc.) to gather necessary information for accurate and timely RFQ responses.
  • Cost Monitoring:
    • Monitor and analyze costs associated with ongoing production projects to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination:
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to address customer-related changes or requirements in ongoing projects.
    • Ensure that all teams are informed of customer updates and can adjust their efforts accordingly.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers within the automotive industry.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups to address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align business development initiatives with overall company goals.
    • Participate in strategic planning meetings to contribute insights from customer interactions and market trends.
  • Market Research:
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
    • Utilize research findings to inform strategic decisions and enhance business development efforts.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain clear and concise documentation of customer interactions, project developments, and RFQ responses.
    • Prepare weekly reports summarizing activities, outcomes, and any challenges encountered.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve business development strategies and processes.
    • Seek feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • B.B.A/B.M.S in Management or
    • B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-4 years in business development or sales within the automobile industry.
    • Proven track record of managing customer relationships and driving revenue growth.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Reliability: Sincere, punctual, and dependable in all tasks.
  • Typing Skills: Good typing speed for efficient documentation.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (written and spoken), with knowledge of Hindi and Marathi.
  • Negotiation Skills: Exceptional abilities in negotiation and deal-making.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented in work processes.
  • Industry Curiosity: A keen interest in the manufacturing industry.
