EG is seeking a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a Software Developer with 8 - 12 years of experience to be based at our Mangalore office in India, and to be part of our growth story.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP and Symfony.
• Design and implement REST APIs for seamless integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure code quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise, providing timely solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in developing web applications.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, Symfony, REST API, SQL and Git.
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD workflows.
• Proven experience in testing code to ensure quality and reliability.
• Structured, reliable, analytical, and independent work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Optional Skills:

• Experience with frontend technologies, specifically JavaScript and Vue.js, is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
